Welcoming our new Apprentice to Cape Lambert Port Operations

Sodexo is proud to announce the recent Apprentice appointment of Preston Snook. Preston joins the OSS Cape Lambert team as a first-year Air-conditioning Refrigeration Mechanic Apprentice, under the expert guidance of Mark Tate and the team of HVAC professionals. Residing in Wickham WA, Preston is a Ngarluma man with an interest in Air-conditioning Refrigeration, in particular, the variety of practical skills the trade offers.
The skills within the Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Refrigeration/Air Conditioning) will provide Preston a trade pathway to a fully qualified and licensed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning tradesperson. Preston will receive on and off the job training to work effectively in the refrigeration industry, installing, repairing and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems, testing and troubleshooting circuits, repairing and assembling electronic components, handling refrigerants, and workplace health and safety. Theoretical off-the-job training will be delivered by Tafe South Metropolitan (Perth), with enrolment, textbook issue, and first block release schedule commencing shortly.
