The team that plays together, stays together!
At Sodexo, we place a high value on teamwork, in fact, it’s one of the core values on which our company was founded on over 50 years ago. Our team spirit, service spirit, and spirit of progress is what drives us to be better and do better every day.
The Sodexo IFMS Coastal team has taken this concept to the field, playing and competing in the Karratha Softball Association’s mixed 7’s tournament.
“…this has brought us closer together as a team. We support each other through the game as we all have different abilities and strengths both on and off the field. Working as a cohesive team, we deliver our best for the success of the team, working together towards a common goal.”
The competitive team also like having some laughs outside of work, meeting each other’s families and spending time together in a leisurely and family-oriented environment. Physical activity and social interaction are key to Quality of Life and the Coastal team is all about working hard and playing hard.
“We laugh in the office about the game, who dropped what, who hit what and of course on field fashion which always lightens the mood on those long hot days. Clark, our area manager is our team fashionista coming down to the games in his salmon coloured (but we all say Pink) shorts.
Salmon is very on trend this season but unfortunately, his sharp dress sense has no bearing on his ability to play the game any better, but gee he looks fashionable while running the bags! Nothing like a splash of this season’s salmon pink amongst the Sodexo blue.” says IFMS and softball team member, Renee Cox
Pictured with their #1 supporters (wives and kids): the team has won the first game of the season and are hoping to go back-to-back this Friday!
The Pilbara coast is home to many IFMS employees and families who call this remote part of the country home! As a part of the community, Sodexo is proud to support and participate in local events, as well as support employees and residents who are committed to making a difference in their community.
