Sodexo on the road again
17 September 2018
Paul Cooper, CEO of Mining, APAC, Shaun Palmer, Director of Operations Mining West, and Tammie Evans, Head of Brand & Communications, were on the road again meeting with Sodexo teams around the country!
Last week brought them to the remote East Kimberley and Pilbara region of Western Australia, including Argyle diamond mine where some of the world’s most magnificent gems and pink diamonds come from. Unique to the site, the retail team Stephanie, Natalie and Leniece were recognised for their innovative retail venture selling diamonds as part of the retail shop.
On 13 September, the team arrived at Cloudbreak Village in the Pilbara, taking part in RUOK? Day activities and events throughout the day. The teams onsite displayed great team spirit, energy and enthusiasm, and Sodexo’s service spirt and commitment to safety and are settling well into new and exciting way of working.
Next the group travelled to Karntama Village Mining Camp in Christmas Creek, WA, taking a tour of the impressive facilities and accommodations. After a short introduction, Paul and Shaun were delighted to speak with the team, recognising them for the great work they do every day, including their strong safety record and culture of diversity & inclusion.
Paul Cooper said: “I can say that from all of the operations I have visited, and being with you here today, I am so proud every time to see our teams living our Sodexo values, I know how hard you all work every day and I know it’s not easy, so I want to stop and acknowledge you all and say thank you for your efforts.”
