A 10-year pin for Lyn!


Lynette Hull, Site Manager at Bishop Tyrrell Place aged care facility on the NSW Mid North Coast, recently received her 10-year pin and certificate. Lyn is the very definition of a Sodexo Ambassador, taking every chance she can to improve residents’ quality of life.

Lyn started with Sodexo as a Catering Assistant at Storm Village in 2007. After two years, she moved to the sister site at Bishop Tyrrell Place as the 2IC; another two years later, Lyn became Site Manager of the Cundletown facility, a role she has now held for six years.

Lyn’s team spirit and service spirit have earned her the respect and admiration of residents and colleagues alike. Paul Dimmock, Operations Director – Healthcare, says that the residents love her.

“Lyn is a stellar Sodexo Ambassador. The residents all know Lyn by name and ask her about what is going on in her life. She has made it an environment where they can share their likes and dislikes, and speak openly about the menus and state of the rooms and facility. 

“Lyn puts so much thought and detail into making sure that all residents get what they like. She ensures that all the little nuances are catered for. Lyn also works incredible hours to make sure that the residents are not left short when staff are off sick or when there are special functions.

“On top of delivering great food on monthly client theme days, Lyn gets the whole team involved in celebrating at every opportunity. On Daffodil Day, the whole team dresses in yellow; on St Patricks Day, in green. They dress in ‘Australiana’ on Australia Day and as Elves at Christmas, with Lyn as Mrs Claus. The staff even take in their pets on ‘Pets for Therapy Day’.” Paul Dimmock, Operations Director Healthcare

For Lyn, the key to being a Sodexo Ambassador is finding enjoyment in what she does, every day. Congratulations to Lyn on her 10 years of wonderful work with Sodexo!

If you’re an Operations or Site Manager who has received Sodexo Ambassador training, please dedicate time within the next six weeks to present it to your teams. The program only takes about an hour and is fun and interactive.
