Outstanding Electrical Apprentice

Outstanding Electrical Apprentice

Rachel McColl commenced an electrical apprenticeship in December 2014 at Karratha Gap Ridge Village and Karratha Gas Plant, after completing a Cert II pre-apprenticeship.

Working under the supervision of electrical tradesman Michael Beccarelli, Rachel has embraced all facets of electrical training, particularly in the areas of single phase domestic installations and the electrical maintenance of Karratha town housing. Rachel has developed a sound knowledge and application of electrical tools and electrical meters. Positive customer engagement is an aspect of the job where Rachel displays confidence and professionalism beyond her years.

Tafe theoretical training is underway at Pilbara Institute. Electrical lecturers report that Rachel is a very focused, analytical student who works collaboratively with apprentice peers, showing exceptional team leadership qualities. Attendance, competency progression and over all attitude to Tafe work has set Rachel apart from other apprentices. Well done Rachel!
