Argyle Village Apprentice makes an impression

Introducing one of Sodexo’s newest Cookery Apprentices – Jake Hall.

Jake commenced working with the Morris team at RTIO Argyle Village in 2016 as Kitchen utilities before expressing interest in a Commercial Cookery trade apprenticeship.  After his recent Apprenticeship contract indenture, Jake is already off to a flying start, having assisted with a recent client function, in which he joined forces with the expert cookery team, creating impressive ala carte meals, ice sculptures and food carvings.

Some description

The function was also a golden opportunity to gain valuable experience in fine dining, ala carte meal preparation.  The catering team at Argyle Village, led by Head Chef Helen Breedon are thrilled with Jake’s enthusiasm and commitment to skill development, and are looking forward to supporting him through all facets of Commercial Cookery.  Jake will soon be joining a growing cohort of Sodexo Cookery apprentices at North Metropolitan Tafe Perth, commencing theoretical block training semester 2, 2018.

“We’re delighted with Jake’s progress so far, especially his outstanding work ethic and team spirit.  Jake continually impresses us with his initiative in all areas – and is a highly valued member of our team.  It’s such a pleasure to be training and mentoring such a dedicated Apprentice.  Keep up the great work Jake”! – Argyle Village Head Chef, Helen Breedon
