Gove gets Footloose with Virgin Pulse Step Challenge
During June and July, teams of Sodexo employees signed up to the 2018 Virgin Pulse Global Challenge to compete alongside more than 53,000 teams from companies around the world. In teams of seven, employees tracked their daily activity and work towards a daily target of 10,000 steps. Participating Sodexo teams said they really enjoyed the friendly competition with other teams and coworkers while improving their health and fitness. daily self-motivation, reward and achievement.
Sodexo’s Gove House team entered 3 teams of 7 into the 2018 Virgin Pulse Challenge where the goal was to take as many steps as possible over a 100 day period.
Daniel Colaway (pictured at above right with Town Services Manager, Angela Schrider) placed as the 7th highest ranking participant in the 2018 step challenge WORLDWIDE! As a Utility worker and cleaner, he is used to racking up his step count on site but was motivated to keep up the pace during his RnR.
Daniel walked and ran 1756 kms over the 100 day challenge which is a huge achievement! His team Footloose came 184th overall worldwide. Amazing effort!
