Karratha Woodside also partook in a second NAIDOC event this year, catering an Indigenous themed hot lunch at the Karratha Gas Plant and King Bay Supply Facility.
Burrup Services Manager, Marcia Da Silva worked closely with Kuditj Catering Manager, Celia Maiho to organise a traditional meal for around 300 people across both sites. The menu included Mini Kangaroo Beef Pies and Skewers, Kangaroo & Emu Meatballs and Tanami Fire Spiced Chicken Thighs along with Damper.
Sodexo is a proud partner of Kuditj Catering, Perth’s premiere Aboriginal owned and operated catering company.
As the theme for NAIDOC 2017 is Our Languages Matter, “we wanted to acknowledge the keepers of the language and the Indigenous language educators. Sodexo acknowledges and supports the importance of nurturing the elders as they have kept our languages alive and continue to educate the next generation.” – Helen Slater, Indigenous Community Liaison Manager – Woodside.
