Celebrating our VTEC Program
Sodexo is proud to be a VTEC Employer, working closely with our partner organisations GenerationOne, atWork Australia and South Metropolitan who, like Sodexo, appreciate the importance of showing respect for Aboriginal cultural values and unique ways of working.
Our work with the VTEC programs has provided us with greater insights into what makes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment successful. Sodexo Indigenous Engagement and Programs Specialist Nicola Larg said by taking the lessons learnt from each program and insights from partners, Sodexo is building a program focused on the needs of the trainees.

Sodexo remains committed to continuing our VTEC journey in 2019 through our Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Our VTEC commitment is an integral part of the RAP, which promotes Sodexo’s reconciliation journey to the First Nations’ peoples on whose land Sodexo operates, along with communicating Sodexo’s efforts to the wider Australian community.
Through this RAP, Sodexo, an employer across many industries delivering integrated facilities management services, promotes its active contributions to writing a new and positive history for Australia’s First Nations’ peoples. Sodexo remains committed to continuing our VTEC journey in 2019 through our Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
We are encouraged to know that the prospect of a real job at completion of the VTEC program is a powerful motivator for the trainees.
