Sodexo supports the Pannawonica Robe River Rodeo
The Pannawonica Robe River Rodeo is an annual event held on the first weekend in September. Now in it’s 21st year, this event is the main highlight for the Pannawonica community as well as the competitors and visitors who attend from all over Western Australia and interstate. Located 200km south-east of Karratha, the Rodeo sees the town’s population of 600 grow to over 2000 visitors during the event weekend.
Spectators enjoyed many exciting events, with bull riding, barrel racing, and buck jumps, as well as local live bands late in the evening. Sodexo was roped into the action, accomodating for the influx of visitors of Pannawonica by donating goods, services and operating extended store hours in support of the community event.
With free visitor camping provided at the rodeo grounds, Sodexo provided a free bus service shuttling passengers from the rodeo grounds to town. Our grounds staff and trades teams put up fencing, electrical and lighting, while waste management teams provided sanitation and all cleaning supplies for the rodeo for the duration of four days.
Sodexo is proud to be part of another successful community event! All funds raised by the Robe River Rodeo are channelled back into the community, community groups and nominated charities.
