Sodexo Spirit on display at the Roxby Christmas Pageant
Sodexo participated in its 12th annual Christmas Pageant in Roxby Downs. Proud to be part of the local community and festivities, Sodexo submits a float each year with a different theme that our employees, their children and/or grandchildren enjoy taking part in.
As this is our Sodexo’s last pageant at Roxby Downs, we wanted to go out with a bang. This year’s theme voted by village staff was the ‘Sodexo Express’ a take off from the Polar Express movie.
Big thanks to John Keelan for his vision and execution in building the train and to Angie Reed for her creative flair with her freehand sign writing and drawings skills. We also had a lot of helpful Sodexo elves who helped paint, decorate and build. It was an amazing effort by all, highlighting some hidden talents and serious Sodexo team spirit!
A special mention and a BIG thank you to Kae Janke, a.k.a. Mrs Claus, for her dedication and support with motivating the team with this year’s float, and to Village Manager, Richard Barton and Shaun Pawson, who won the Best Dressed males category.
The Sodexo Express float was one of 21 floats, with Santa Claus bringing up the rear. Thank you to the team of Sodexo employees and children who handed out lollies to the children of Roxby Downs who lined the street for the parade.
“We are all now in the spirit of Christmas here at Olympic Dam and are looking forward to the activities planned for the month of December.” – Richard Barton – Village Manager, Olympic Dam
