Sodexo Australia wins significant 10-year contract with Rio Tinto
Sodexo has announced today, 16th March 2016, it has been awarded a ten-year contract with leading global mining company Rio Tinto. The contract is estimated at AUD 2.5 billion over 10 years, and is considered the most significant contract in the history of the company. Sodexo will deliver integrated facilities management services in the company’s extensive operations in Australia’s Pilbara region. This exemplifies the our ability to deliver on major contracts in the Energy & Resources sector.
Rio Tinto’s assets in Australia’s Pilbara region comprises ports, towns, aerodromes, operational sites, accommodation sites, commercial buildings, and residential properties.
Sodexo was successfully awarded the contract after demonstrating a number of strengths in keys areas such as consistency and quality in services, alignment with improving quality in village life, and strong engagement with communities located within their operational footprint.
