Sodexo wins 2020 WA Mental Health Award

We’re proud to announce we have won the Mentally Healthy Workplace category in this year’s WA Mental Health Awards.

Around one in five Australians will experience challenges with their mental health at some point in their life, and many don’t seek the help they need. This year in particular has been difficult for many.

With more than 5000 employees across Australia, our vision is to build a resilient workforce through I Hear You, our mental health initiative. To achieve this, we’ve been proactive in our approach to update our mental health strategy and take actions to supporting employee wellbeing in different ways. Sodexo was recognised for reworking its Health & Wellbeing Strategy to better respond to the changing needs of employees in the workplace.

The Awards, which are presented by Western Australian Association for Mental Health and the WA Mental Health Commission, recognise the individuals and organisations that made outstanding contributions to mental health in the calendar year of 2019 through excellence, innovation, and initiative. More than 160 nominations were received across the eight Awards categories and were judged by a panel that included mental health sector employees, mental health lived experience consumers and carers, and WA Mental Health Commission representatives.

Congratulations to all the entrants in this year’s awards program and a huge thank you to AMMA – Australian Resources & Energy Group and Happiness Co for endorsing our submission this year.
