Sodexo in Fortune World’s Most Admired Companies for 2017

6 March 2017

Sodexo is among the FORTUNE World’s Most Admired Companies for the seventh year running.

In fact, we leaped to 2nd place in our sector (Diversified Outsourcing Services) from 4th place last year and the number 5 slot in 2015.

Only the top five companies are considered “most admired” in FORTUNE magazine’s prestigious ranking. To prove that our organization is really getting results, our overall score jumped from 5.50 in 2016 to 6.46.

The impact becomes even clearer when you look at the three categories where we’re Number 1: Innovation (vs. No. 7 in 2016), Social Responsibility (vs. No. 2 in 2016), and Global Competitiveness (vs. No. 2 in 2016). This demonstrates that’s solid progress in our journey, and clear evidence that we’re on the right track.

So how does the ranking work? FORTUNE collaborates with its partner Korn Ferry Hay Group on the survey. It establishes a list of the highest-revenue companies in 51 industries: a total of 680 across 28 countries. Then it asks 3,800 executives, directors, and analysts to rate these enterprises on nine criteria, including investment value, quality of management and products, social responsibility and ability to attract talent.

Sodexo is more competitive, innovative and agile. We are closer to clients and our commitment to social responsibility is being recognized. A higher place in the FORTUNE ranking is something we can all be proud of and yet more proof that concrete change reaps rewards!
